1. Hand-feel visual measurement method: this method is applicable to non-woven materials in the condition of loose fiber.
(1) cotton fibers are shorter and finer than the technical fibers and wool fibers of ramie fibers and other hemp fibers, often with various impurities and defects.
(2) hemp fiber feels thicker and harder.
(3) the wool fiber is curly and elastic.
(4) silk is long, long and slender, with special luster.
(5) in chemical fiber, as long as the viscose fiber dry and wet condition of strong difference.
(6) spandex silk has great elasticity and can stretch more than five times at room temperature.
2. Microscopic observation: non-woven fibers are identified according to the shape characteristics of the longitudinal surface and cross section of the fibers.
(1) cotton fiber: cross-section shape: waist round, middle waist; Longitudinal shape: flat ribbon with natural twist.
(2) hemp (ramie, flax, jute) fiber: cross-section shape: waist circle or polygon, with middle cavity; Vertical shape: horizontal and vertical sections.
(3) wool fiber: cross-section shape: round or nearly round, some with wool pith; Vertical shape: scales on the outside.
(4) rabbit hair fiber: cross-section shape: dumbbell-shaped with hairy pith; Vertical shape: scales on the outside.
(5) mulberry silk fiber: cross-section shape: irregular triangle; Longitudinal shape: smooth and straight, longitudinal striated.
(6) general viscose fiber: cross-section shape: sawtooth shape, core structure; Vertical shape: vertical groove.
(7) abundant fiber: cross-section shape: less dentate shape, or circular shape, oval shape; Longitudinal shape: smooth appearance.
(8) acetate fiber: cross-sectional shape: trifoliate or irregular serrated shape; Vertical shape: vertical stripes on the outside.
(9) acrylic fiber: cross-section shape: round, dumbbell-shaped or leaf shape; Longitudinal shape: smooth or striped appearance.
(10) polyvinyl chloride fiber: cross-section shape: near circle; Longitudinal shape: smooth appearance.
(11) spandex fiber: cross-section shape: irregular shape, round shape and potato shape; Longitudinal shape: dark and deep appearance, with indistinct bony stripes.
(12) polyester, polyamide, polypropylene fiber: cross-section shape: round or shaped; Longitudinal shape: smooth.
(13) polypropylene fiber: cross-section shape: waist circle, skin core structure; Longitudinal shape: 1~2 grooves.
